These collections are appropriate for the beginning rock collector and offers a hands-on approach to learning.

The rocks in these collections are unmounted, this promotes better hands-on learning- like flashcards. (mounting is extra).

Each collection contains representative samples of rocks, minerals and fossils/igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic.

Pieces commonly occur in the U.S.A.

Collections progress from common to uncommon & semi-precious.

A color image of the included samples are included with the order. This hardcopy lists the names of each specimen below the photo of the rock for easy identification.
